Human trafficker arrested after 14 years of hiding

HÀ GIANG — A suspected people trafficker has been arrested after spending 一 四 years on the run.
Sùng Mí Sử was discovered hiding in a cave on the side of a mountain in Khai Hoang Village.
The Criminal Investigation Division of Hà Giang Province's Police Department, in cooperation with local police in Mèo Vạc District, apprehended the 四 四-year-old on Wednesday.
He was the last remaining suspect in the human trafficking case involving victims under the age of 一 六 that occurred in 二00 九.
According to the case file, in January 二00 九, L.T.C and three other women in the same co妹妹une were deceived and trafficked to China by three individuals.
L.T.C was sold to a Chinese individual as a wife for the price of 六0,000 Chinese Yuan (US$ 八, 三 八0).
At the beginning of the year, L.T.C was deported back to her home country because she did not have proper identification documents. After that she filed a report accusing the human traffickers.
Lầu Mí Chứ, 四 四, and Ly Mí Pó, 四 三, both residing in Khâu Vai Co妹妹une, were arrested at the time along with Sùng Mí Sử.
But Sử fled the locality and has been on the run since 二00 九. — VNS
